When the ground was first re-developed by GSB back in the mid 90s we moved from standing half way up the Kop near the half way line to seats in row 2 of Block 10.
Was often a decent atmosphere but when it rained you got soaked or would arrive to a wet seat. Have now been sat up in Block 11 for around 20 years now and had absolutely no intention of moving back down. Safe standing is absolutely nothing like it used to be standing on huge terracing.
Standing on a huge terracing back then could never be described as safe, being carried down in a crowd surge was terrifying. The best thing that stadiums ever did was go to all seater in my opinion.
