2024 NBA Draft: Alex Sarr opens as early favorite to win 2025 Rookie of the Year
The No. 2 pick in the draft leads the rookie of the year favorites
The next generation of NBA talent officially arrived on Wednesday night as the league held its annual draft at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
For the first time in franchise history, the Atlanta Hawks held the No. 1 overall pick and opted to take France’s Zaccharie Risacher.
Alex Sarr was selected No. 2 overall by the Washington Wizards (as expected) while Reed Sheppard rounded out the top three by landing with the Houston Rockets.
So now that the top of the draft board has been cleared, the next question is which one of the league’s newest faces will win Rookie of the Year for the 2024-25 season.
As the odds officially open at DraftKings Sportsbook, Sarr has a slightly better line than the No. 1 overall pick.
