Austin Butler Reveals the 'Hunger Games' Role He Auditioned For

Austin Butler almost starred in the Hunger Games!

In a new interview, the 32-year-old Oscar-nominated actor revealed the leading role he auditioned for in the major movie franchise, but “didn’t get it at all.”

Keep reading to find out more…While speaking to BuzzFeed Celeb on Wednesday (June 26), Austin revealed that he auditioned for the role of Peeta, which ended up going to Josh Hutcherson.

“I don’t even think I got a callback for the character Peeta,” Austin said.

Despite not landing the role, Austin doesn’t hold any resentment and sang his praises for Josh‘s portrayal.

“He’s great,” Austin added.
