I messaged a rubbish removal company to see if they’d clear my garden but was mortified by the accidental pic I attached

A WOMAN was left mortified when she accidentally sent a picture of herself to a rubbish removal company.

She explained that she’d messaged the disposal company on Facebook to get a quote to clear a pile in her garden.

While she had wanted to send them a picture of the waste they needed to get rid of, she managed to send another snap as well.

She took to TikTok to share the embarrassing situation, showing a screenshot of the Facebook conversation which she’d begun by writing: “Hiya, please could I have a quote for this rubbish removal?”

She’d then attached the pictures – of the rubbish, and of herself.

What made things even more awkward was that the picture of her was a very sultry selfie.

“Imagine being that company and being like, ‘Excuse me? Which one am I picking up?” she said, failing to control her laughter.

Her friend could also be heard in the background screaming with laughter.

“When you accidentally send a picture of yourself to the rubbish disposal company… wait til you see it,” was written over the top of the video, shared on mobile network Voxi’s TikTok page.

“I need to know what they said back” they captioned the clip.

And someone in the comments section, claiming to be the woman’s brother-in-law, then responded with what the company had said in return.

“They gave her a discount and said it’s the least they could do haha,” he replied.

Other people in the comments section revealed similar hilarious mishaps they’d experienced.

“I did this to a carpet company who sent me a quote,” one wrote.

“I replied with a picture of my credit card statement and a photo of Captain Tom Moore.”

“I once accidentally messaged a takeaway driver instead of my fiance saying ‘where are you, I miss you’,” another laughed.

“Could be worse,” a third insisted.

Can you unsend embarrassing messages?

THERE'S nothing worse than hitting send on a message, only to realise you've accidentally included something you shouldn't have. So can you unsend it?

On your phone

If you have an iPhone with iOS 16, you can unsend a message within two minutes of sending it. To do so, long press on the message you want to delete, and click on ‘unsend’ on the pop-up menu.

The message will then be deleted, but the recipient will receive a notification that you’ve unsent a text to them.

In addition, the unsent message will still be visible to the recipient if they haven’t updated their device to iOS 16.

On email

If you’ve got Gmail, you can delete an email pretty easily.

When you send an email, you will see a link saying Undo in the bottom left corner.

Tapping it will enable you to bring the email back as a draft.

You can also set the amount of time you’ve got before the email can’t be recovered anymore in Gmail settings – choosing from the default of five seconds, of turning it up to 10, 20 or 30 seconds.

“I accidentally selected a private picture of myself as my WhatsApp profile pic without realising and it was up for hours and I was in 2 company WhatsApp groups with all staff members.”

“I sent pics of my hair to hairdressers getting quotes and had attached a pic of me on toilet, knickers round ankles,” someone else said.

“I had taken a pic of my hair on the toilet and thought I cropped it!”

“I got a cat flap installed and the guy who did it asked for pics of it to put on his website,” another added.

“I took the photos and sent them, but the window in the back door showed my reflection in some really revealing pyjamas and looking like I’d been dragged through a hedge backwards!”
