1. Pedestrian struck and killed in Clifton Park crash

One person was struck and killed in the area of State Route 146 near the intersection of State Route 9 in Clifton Park Wednesday night. State troopers have not revealed the identity of the victim at this time.

A Troy resident is accused of raping a minor. Court documents say Sakir Akkan threatened the 15-year-old girl with a metal bar while she was inside his car.

5. 220-pound fish caught in Hudson River

Talk about the catch of the day. According to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), members of the Hudson River Estuary Program fisheries staff caught a 220-pound fish that was over six feet long.
