Not as Hot Today with Scattered Rain More Likely

The extreme heat and humidity is tempered for today as scattered showers and storms will be more likely in Acadiana. Coastal rain is starting the morning off but most of the activity is drifting into the northern Gulf. Another round of scattered rain returns for more of Acadiana this afternoon as rain chances increase to 50%. High temperatures will be in the lower 90s under mostly cloudy skies.

Hotter weather with isolated rain chances make a comeback this weekend.
