Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen breaks social media silence to pay tribute to son Reuben, 20, following solo success
AMANDA Owen broke her social media silence to share a tribute to son Reuben.
The pair rose to fame, along with the rest of their family, in the popular Channel 5 show Our Yorkshire Farm.
Airing from 2018 to 2022, this format followed Amanda and then-husband Clive, as they balanced raising their nine children with their duties on Ravenseat Farm.
As well as Reuben, the other children include Raven, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine and Nancy.
Former Death in Paradise leading man Ralf Little served as narrator across the series.
However, the beloved show concluded after Amanda and Clive decided to split after 22 years of marriage.
Second-oldest child Reuben, 20, has continued on the television journey with a show of his own.
Six-part series titled Reuben: Life in the Dales sees him make a go of following his passion for engineering by starting a new plant machinery venture.
The cast for the new show also included Reuben’s friend Tommy McWhirter and then-girlfriend Sarah Dow, whom he has since split up with.
Amid her son’s success, Amanda took to social media to share a tribute to Reuben.
The mother-of-nine broke had not posted on Instagram since May.
She captioned: “The boss @reubenowen74 and myself #yorkshiresheperdress”, with the picture showing the two sat together in a vehicle while Rueben has his thumbs up,
Having started dating in 2021, Reuben and Sarah decided to call time on their romance after filming for Life in the Dales ended.
He previously told Lorraine Kelly on her breakfast programme: “Me and Sarah were together, we’re no longer together but we’re still very good friends.
“She’s kind of gone her own way and is pursuing her own career.
“She does the odd day for us when she’s not busy, but no we’re not together. We get on very well and we’re still good pals.”
Earlier this month, Reuben shared an update on his “next job” following his split from Sarah.
In an update posted to Instagram, the star shared a video straight from the driving seat of his tractor.
It appeared the TV personality was personally getting the vast land space ready to plant crops.
The Channel 5 personality captioned his content: “Another job starting to take shape”, as he also shared several photos alongside the short clip.
