UFC 306 rebranded Riyadh Season Noche UFC for debut at Sphere

UFC 306 has been rebranded ahead of the promotion’s highly anticipated debut at Sphere in Las Vegas.

On Wednesday, the promotion announced that the pay-per-view event will be titled Riyadh Season Noche UFC, and is officially set for Sept. 14 to celebrate Mexican Independence Day at the major city’s new attraction.

The event will be the first in UFC history to have a sponsor with title partner status.

“This will be one of the biggest sporting events of all time,” UFC CEO Dana White said in a press release. What we’re going to pull off at Sphere will never be done again. This will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for sports fans. At the same time, this is going to be an incredible tribute to the Mexican people for their extraordinary contributions to combat sports.

We’re thrilled that Turki Alalshikh and the Saudi General Entertainment Authority have stepped up to partner with us to make this the greatest event in the history of combat sports. Their participation shows just how massive the interest is from all over the world. Riydah Season Noche UFC will be unforgettable.”

The UFC debuted in Saudi Arabia earlier this month with a Fight Night event, where Robert Whittaker capped off the card with a first-round knockout of Ikram Aliskerov. It was revealed in May that the partnership between the UFC and Saudi Arabia has been extended, with another UFC event heading to Saudi Arabia in 2025.

The Promotion delivered an incredible Noche UFC event this past September, which was a Fight Night card at T-Mobile Arena. UFC flyweight champ Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko battled to a draw in the main event. It would seem as if the trilogy fight will happen on the Sept. 14 card, however, Grasso told reporters on Wednesday that Shevchenko may not be her opponent for the card.
