Dione Barbosa replaces Tracy Cortez vs. Miranda Maverick at UFC Vegas 94

Miranda Maverick has a new opponent for UFC Vegas 94 on July 20.

The former Invicta FC flyweight champion has agreed to face Dione Barbosa at the UFC APEX after her original opponent, Tracy Cortez, was moved to a clash with Rose Namajunas a week before in Denver, multiple people with knowledge of the situation told MMA Fighting.

Maverick (13-5) looks to extend her winning streak to three after back-to-back victories over Priscila Cachoeira and Andrea Lee, boosting her UFC record to 6-3 with a trio of stoppages to her credit.

Barbosa (7-2) defeated Ernesta Kareckaite via unanimous decision in her octagon debut at UFC 301 in Rio de Janeiro. “The Witch” won her past four, including a first-around armbar finish over Rainn Guerrero at Dana White’s Contender Series in September 2023.

The UFC Vegas 94 will be headlined by former title contender Amanda Lemos taking on jiu-jitsu expert Virna Jandiroba, and also includes Brad Tavares vs. Jun Yong Park and Doo Ho Choi vs. Bill Algeo.
