Troy man accused of fentanyl, cocaine possession
TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office arrested a Troy man for allegedly possessing fentanyl and cocaine. Deputies said Sharheem Beckett, 50, was arrested by deputies on Saturday, June 22.
Charges
- One count of first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- One count of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- Two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
- One count of criminal use of drug paraphernalia
Deputies said they obtained a search warrant for a second-floor apartment on 6th Avenue in Troy and found roughly 272.8 grams of cocaine and fentanyl, $14,418 cash, miscellaneous gift cards in various amounts, packaging materials, and scales. Additionally, deputies said Beckett had an arrest warrant for failing to register as a sex offender.
Beckett was arraigned in Troy City Court. He remains in Rensselaer County Jail without bail.
