Tesla Cybertruck Goes Flying Into Neighbor's House in Wild Video

One unfortunate owner of Tesla's futuristic-looking Cybertruck wrecked the car in spectacular fashion just a few hours after he brought the car home. X (formerly Twitter) user @bfreshwa shared security footage of the crash, which occurred outside of his home.

According to @bfreshwa, he had waited five years to own the coveted vehicle. He had only put about four hours of driving into the vehicle when he decided to leave his driveway.

The security footage shows the truck almost immediately gathering speed as it travels down the user's slanted driveway and then uphill toward his neighbor's house. We hear the sound of squealing tires before the Cybertruck disappears, followed by a loud crash and the sound of a repeating horn. According to the driver, the back wheels locked up but the car continued careening forward.

The car reportedly traveled 800 feet before it slammed into the neighbor's car, coming to a rest in the stairs at the back of the home.

@bfreshwa said Tesla wouldn't "put anything in writing" regarding their culpability for the accident, despite the vehicle being the subject of four separate recalls since it launched last November. In April, Tesla recalled 4,000 Cybertrucks over faulty accelerator pedals.

"We have reviewed logs and due to the terrain the accelerator may or may not disengage when the brake is depressed," Tesla reportedly told @bfreshwa. The company referred him to his insurance company to deal with repairs.

The unfortunate owner reported that it'll cost around $30,000 to repair the $109,000 car, but he'll be waiting up to a year for replacement parts.

On Tuesday, Tesla recalled 11,000 Cybertrucks over failing windshield wipers and trim pieces that can come lose, posing a threat to other motorists.
