The China Anti-Doping Agency (CHINADA) refused to comply with a request from the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) to disclose investigation details of 23 swimmers who tested positive for banned substances before the Tokyo Olympics. CHINADA argues the request lacks legal basis and violates the World Anti-Doping Code and athletes' rights. This follows criticism of WADA by USADA CEO Travis Tygart and swimmers Michael Phelps and Allison Schmitt. China has included 11 implicated swimmers in its team for the Paris Olympics.
