U.S. stock markets end modestly higher, Dow Jones adds 36 points

NEW YORK, New York - Weak economic data kept buyers away on Wall Street Thursday. New orders for key U.S.-manufactured capital goods dropped in May, while core durable goods orders dipped 0.1 percent versus forecasts for a rise of 0.2 percent.
