Bicyclist injured in west Topeka hit-and-run, investigation ongoing

TOPEKA (KSNT) - First responders helped a bicyclist recover Thursday morning after a reported hit-and-run crash in west Topeka.

City of Topeka spokeswoman Rosie Nichols told 27 News in a written statement that officers with the Topeka Police Department and firefighters with the Topeka Fire Department were called at 9:30 a.m. on June 27 to the intersection of Southwest Huntoon Street and Southwest Fairlawn Road. The first responders found a bicyclist at the intersection suffering from non-life-threatening injuries who was treated on scene.

Nichols did not say if any arrests were made in connection to this incident. The investigation into the hit-and-run is ongoing.
