Plastic company leaves Topeka for Kansas City area

TOPEKA (KSNT) - A plastic distributor says it has completed its move to new ground in northeast Kansas after departing from the Capital City.

Cope Plastics announced in a press release Thursday, June 27 it has moved to Lenexa to be closer to the Kansas City area. The move is expected to give the company greater warehouse space and allow it to inventory high-quality plastic products. Greater delivery options will also be available for surrounding areas.

The Lenexa branch of the company is 15 miles from Kansas City and houses a sales team along with fabrication experts. Company spokeswoman Jenni Wittman said services provided by Cope Plastics include the creation of custom plastic pieces, prototypes or cut-to-size jobs. This new location is expected to be fully operational on July 1, 2024.

“We are excited to announce the branch relocation. Having a larger warehouse and delivery truck will allow us to better serve our existing and new customers in the entire Kansas City Metro area,” said Kirk Wallace, Central Regional Director with Cope Plastics.

You can find Cope Plastics' Lenexa branch at 15317 West 100th Terrace. In Topeka, it was located at 1751 SW 41st Street. Learn more about the company by clicking here.
