FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Good Thursday Evening,

It has been a beautiful day with temps a couple of degrees off the normal in the lower 80s. We will have mostly clear skies tonight with temps falling below normal in the mid to upper 50s. Friday should be another beautiful day with mostly sunny skies, and highs in the upper 80s. Clouds will increase late Friday into Friday night, with rain showers expected after midnight.

Rain chances will ramp up as a weak boundary will lift north Saturday morning. We will see a break in the rain activity from about late morning to mid afternoon, before another round of rain and storms returns with the cold front later Saturday into Saturday evening. During this period, we could have a few stronger storms possible with gusty winds being the main threat.

In fact, the Storm Prediction Center already has us under a "slight risk" or level 2/5 of strong to severe storms in the 2nd half of the day on Saturday. Behind the front, we will see clearing skies on Sunday with highs close, but just below normal in the lower 80s. More sunshine, but cooler air is expected to start the short work week, with high pressure sliding in from the north.

Highs on Monday will only top in the upper 70s. We will have a cool night and start to the day on Tuesday, but will warm up quickly, with highs in the upper 80s. The high will shift east during the day on Tuesday, and open the gates for warmer, and muggier weather for Wednesday and Thursday.

For Red, White, & Boom Wednesday expect hot conditions, with highs in the lower 90s and plenty of humidity. This will lead to chances of storms later in the day and into the evening on Wednesday. Highs will remain near 90 for the 4th on Thursday with scattered storms still possible, tapering off late in the day.
