OSU women's and men's basketball find out 2024-25 opponents in new Big 12

(KFOR) -- Thursday morning the Big 12 Conference announced schedule pairings for its 2024-25 basketball season. The conference has undergone quiet a few changes in recent years with the addition of several teams, while Oklahoma and Texas bolted for the Southeastern Conference.

The men's schedule has expanded from 18 to 20 conference games and Oklahoma State will play all 15 of the other teams in the conference. The schedule includes five home-and-away opponents, five home-only opponents, and five away-only opponents.

In the first year with Steve Lutz at the helm, OSU's home-and-away foes will be Houston, Kansas State, Texas Tech, UCF, and conference newcomer Utah. The five teams the Cowboys will host only are conference newcomers Arizona, Arizona State, and Colorado plus Cincinnati and Iowa State. The five road trips include stops at Baylor, BYU, Kansas, TCU, and West Virginia.

The women's conference schedule will be 18 conference games, unlike the men's 20. Jacie Hoyt's Cowgirls will face all 15 conference opponents, but will only have three home-and-away opponents.

OSU gets Cincinnati, Kansas, and West Virginia as its three home-and-away games. The Cowgirls will host conference newcomers Arizona, Arizona State, and Colorado plus Iowa State, Kansas State, and TCU. The away-only games will feature trips to face Baylor, BYU, Houston, Texas Tech, and UCF in addition to conference newcomer Utah.

The full Big 12 schedules with dates, times and tv assignments will be released later this year.
