HSBC app down — Thousands of customers left furious as online banking service not working amid outage

THOUSANDS of HSBC customers have been left furious this morning after the banking app was hit with an outage

According to DownDetector, over 5,000 users have reported issues with the app.

Taking to X, one fuming customer wrote: “Hi @HSBC_UK is the app working today? I can’t access my accounts, says service unavailable! It’s payday so I have bills to pay and I cannot log in!”

A statement from HSBC read: “We’re really sorry that some customers are having issues accessing personal online and mobile banking.

“Our IT teams are working hard to get these services back to normal. You can still authorise online card purchases via SMS.”
