My sister charged me £56 when she babysat my daughter – the hefty bill included every loo flush and even WiFi minutes

A MONEY-SAVING mad woman has brutally charged her sister for usage costs for what her niece used during her time there – causing a stir online.

Whilst families commonly help each other out, this family don’t operate the same way as a woman was shocked to learn that her sister asked her to pay $72 (£56) for the usage costs her daughter used whilst she stopped over.

Mum, Jessica Pares, 40, from Lakeland, Florida, USA, had to work away from home over the weekend, so her sister looked after her daughter with what Jessica thought was a favour.

She soon realised that some sibling love didn’t come free of charge as her sister sent her a Venmo request, along with a payable deadline to avoid interest, to Jessica – which left her baffled.

“So my sisterhad the balls to post all this BS on TikTok, mind you, like this is normal,” she said sharing the texts with the invoice from her sister.

Like I really don’t get it. She really has issues

Jessica Pares

“This is an invoice of her requesting $72 [£56.96], okay, because my daughter stayed with her over the weekend.”

She explained why she’d asked her sister to babysit and called her sibling “ridiculous.”

“Like, I really don’t get it,” she concluded, “she really has issues.”

Her sister attempted to justify her reasoning for charging Jessica as she stated that ‘times are getting harder’ with her sister detailing in the list every item she used and how much it cost.

The list included items like having milk, apple juice, petrol money and even using Netflix. Other charges included when her daughter flushed the toilet or washed her hands.

Furthermore, she then told Jessica that she would love to have her stay over again – provided she pays for it.

The family drama has left online users divided as one person said: “The audacity to say that she can’t wait for her to come over again!”

Whilst another person said: “Lol, next time she can leave the turds in the toilet and not wash her hands!!”

A third commented: I can’t imagine charging my sister to keep my nephew.

“That’s my baby.”

In response, Jessica’s sister stitched her video and said: “I don’t know why everybody’z mad at me for charging my sister for having my niece to stay with me.”

“Yes, I’m requesting $72 because your daughter was left here and you didn’t leave her with no snacks or anything for her to eat.

“So I had to provide for her.”

She continued: “Therefore, I took away from my children.”

Jessy then says she is not the issue her sister claims she is and says Jessica is “for leaving your child here and didn’t even have her prepared.”

She then reveals in another clip she gave her sister ‘discount’ as she would have charged her “at least $100 to $150” [£79 to £118].

How do I calculate my energy bill?

BELOW we reveal how you can calculate your own energy bill.

To calculate how much you pay for your energy bill, you must find out your unit rate for gas and electricity and the standing charge for each fuel type.

The unit rate will usually be shown on your bill in p/kWh.The standing charge is a daily charge that is paid 365 days of the year – irrespective of whether or not you use any gas or electricity.

You will then need to note down your own annual energy usage from a previous bill.

Once you have these details, you can work out your gas and electricity costs separately.

Multiply your usage in kWh by the unit rate cost in p/kWh for the corresponding fuel type – this will give you your usage costs.

You’ll then need to multiply each standing charge by 365 and add this figure to the totals for your usage – this will then give you your annual costs.

Divide this figure by 12, and you’ll be able to determine how much you should expect to pay each month from April 1.
