Firefighters battle house fire in Norman

NORMAN, Okla. (KFOR) - Firefighters battled a house fire in Norman Friday morning.

Officials say crews responded to a home near 84th Ave. NE and Franklin Rd. around 3 a.m. The homeowner told firefighters they went for a walk and noticed the flames when they came back.

Firefighters were able to get the flames under control, but a dog pass away in the fire. No other injuries have been reported.

The cause of this fire has not been determined. Fire officials believe the home is a total loss.
