Guilderland eatery among Yelp's best sushi spots in US

GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Yelp recently released its Top 100 Sushi Spots for 2024. Out of the 100 U.S. restaurants, one Capital Region eatery made the list.

Akanomi in Guilderland was ranked 28th. On Yelp, the restaurant is rated 4.8 out of 5 and has 215 reviews. "The best Asian food you could and will ever eat in your entire life. By far. No competition," read one of the Yelp reviews for Akanomi.

Akanomi is located in Carpenter Commons at 2568 Western Avenue. The eatery is open Tuesday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 9:30 p.m.
