Kourtney Kardashian Shares One Thing She Did With Son Mason That She Refuses to Do Today

Kourtney Kardashian Barker recently reflected on her growth as a mother, including something she felt pressured to do when her eldest son Mason was a baby but refuses to repeat with her youngest son Rocky.

This week’s episode of The Kardashians featured Kourtney’s fitting for the Emmy Awards, which she attended with husband Travis Barker. The Poosh founder’s mom, Kris Jenner, was present for the occasion, and they chatted about Kourtney’s apprehension over resuming normal life after welcoming Rocky in November 2023.

“For the past two months. I’ve loved being at home with the baby and I don’t want to leave,” Kourtney admitted in a confessional. “I’m starting to get a bit of anxiety about going back into the world,” she added.

During her chat with Kris, Kourtney said if she wanted to get back to her pre-pregnancy weight, she would need to lose 10 pounds. “I care to get back, but I’m breastfeeding,” the mom of four explained. She added, “So I’m taking my time and they say to keep your vagina intact. You should not jump or run for like, six months.”

“That makes sense,” Kris said, adding, “You should do Pilates.” The wellness maven shared she was planning to do Pilates the next day, but she’d just been walking up to that point.

After Kourtney had been helped into a corset, Kris complimented her and asked if she could breathe. The Poosh founder replied, “I can’t breathe. My boobs are humongous and filled with milk and veins.”

In a confessional that followed the scene, Kourtney asserted that her priority isn’t to reclaim her pre-pregnancy body — especially since it’s something she regrets focusing on when Mason was a baby.

“My priority is not bouncing back and getting my body back in shape like it has been in the past,” she shared. “I remember after having Mason that it used to be a really big thing to talk about how soon can you bounce back and everyone would do magazine covers. I did a magazine cover in a bikini and was stressing myself out to eat a certain diet,” Kourtney recalled. “This time, I’m really just all about nourishing my body and eating the best foods to keep up my milk supply.”

We admire how Kourtney is putting her health over her looks since celebrities — especially the Kardashian women — are held to unreasonable body image standards, particularly following the birth of a baby. She’s one of many famous women who have put their foot down and refuse to be shamed for her postpartum body, and we applaud her for that.
