Nanaimo, B.C. (June 28, 2024) — Graduating Nanaimo Clippers defenceman Isa Parekh (Nobleton, ON) has been invited to this summer’s Development Camp of the NHL’s Calgary Flames, it was announced today.

Parekh, 20, joined the Clippers this past season and immediately posted a career campaign, registering 38 points (5 goals, 33 assists) in 52 games. He ranked fourth among all BCHL defencemen in scoring.

Committed to NCAA Division I Bemidji State University, Parekh joined the Clippers after two strong seasons in the OJHL with North York and Georgetown.

The announcement comes just ahead of this weekend’s NHL draft, where his fellow Clipper defenceman Matthew Lahey is ranked 110th among North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting.
