Team News: Edinburgh City (A)
David Gray has named two Hibernian FC starting XIs for this afternoon’s pre-season friendly against Edinburgh City; 1pm kick-off at Meadowbank.
As it’s the Club’s first game in preparation for the Premier Sports Cup and William Hill Premiership, the players are expected to play a maximum of 45 minutes each.
The first half XI sees new signing Josef Bursik start in goal with Kanayo Megwa, Nohan Kenneh, Riley Harbottle, and Oscar MacIntyre at the back. Joe Newell captains the side and is in midfield alongside Dylan Levitt and Luke Amos. Chris Cadden starts on the right wing, Harry McKirdy on the left, and Dylan Vente upfront.
The second half XI sees Max Boruc in goal with a back four of Rory Whittaker, Lewis Miller, Joseph McGrath and Jordan Obita in front of him. Josh Campbell captains the second half team and starts in a midfield three alongside Reuben McAllister and Jake Doyle-Hayes. Rudi Molotnikov starts on the right, with Jair Tavares on the left, and Josh Landers up-front.
Owen Calder is on the substitutes bench for both sides.
