Commenting on a Reddit post, user Major-Supermarket619 revealed the unusual hack she discovered to tackle facial wrinkles.

“Seriously, medical skin tape, easily found in any drug store, taped in the frown lines overnight works wonders,” the poster said.

She credited the unexpected product with giving her a smooth complexion.

“I’m 64 years old and have zero frown lines and no forehead lines,” she said.

Nexcare Flexible Clear First Aid Tape and Dispenser is available for $6.29 from CVS.

While medical tape is not designed for anti-aging use, some beauty brands have developed their own alternatives.

However, the social media user explained why she prefers to use first aid tape instead.

“Frownies cost more than they’re worth, and I always woke with it on my pillow,” she said.

Speaking about her go-to medical tape, she said: “This sticks, and they’re cheaper than heck.”

Another Reddit user supported the medical tape recommendation in the comments section.

“I second the sleeping with medical tape hack,” the beauty fan wrote.

“[It’s the] only thing that has helped my 11s when even Botox couldn’t.”

The original poster also recommended two products from The Ordinary to perfect a smooth finish.

She revealed that she uses the brand’s $9.70 Argireline Solution 10% Serum.

According to The Ordinary, the serum uses “an advanced formula” to smooth the skin.

The manufacturers explained that the product targets “dynamic forehead, ‘eleven eye,’ and smile lines in an effective, ‘non-injective’ way.”

To follow it up, the poster treated her skin with the $10.90 Matrixyl 10% + HA.

The lightweight serum is advertised as promoting plump and firm skin.

Manufacturers said the product “improves the appearance of facial areas prone to fine lines by supporting your skin’s overall collagen production.”

“I use the Ordinary combo, let [my skin] dry, and tape,” the Reddit user said.

One Reddit user hailed the skincare combo from The Ordinary as “Botox in a bottle.”
