Labour ‘will damage Britain irreversibly within 100 days’ if they win super-majority, warns Rishi Sunak

RISHI Sunak yesterday warned Labour will do “irreversible damage in 100 days” if they get a super-majority.

The PM insisted Britain “must not surrender” its taxes, borders and security to Sir Keir Starmer.

In his starkest warning to the nation yet, Mr Sunak claimed Labour would hike taxes and let illegal immigrants onto Britain’s streets with its soft-touch policies.

He sounded the alarm just days before voters go to the polls in Thursday’s General Election.

Mr Sunak said: “It’s clear Labour would do irreversible damage within just 100 days of coming to power.

“Whether it’s announcing a suite of tax rises or throwing thousands of families’ plans for the autumn term into chaos with children wondering if they will have a desk at school to go back to.

“Labour would throw open our borders with their illegal migrant amnesty and free movement for under 30s in their deal with the EU, making us the soft-touch migrant capital of the world.

“They can’t be trusted. We must not surrender our taxes, borders and our security to them.”

The fiery PM went on the attack as an Opinium poll showed Labour are still a whopping 20 points ahead.

Tory bosses have warned a super-majority on Thursday would hand Labour a blank cheque to ram through left-wing policies unchecked.

As the PM sounded the alarm, Sir Keir threw what looked suspiciously like a victory rally in central London.

In an upbeat speech, he urged activists to make this the “summer of change”.

He has ruled out raising income tax, VAT, National Insurance and capital gains on people’s main residence.

But No10 says Labour will hike other levies in an emergency Budget within ten weeks if they gain power.

Meanwhile, Labour’s deputy leader Angela Rayner yesterday tore into the Tories’ record.

She said: “We all know Britain could be so much better than this.”
