Ryan Sessegnon attracting Premier League interest after leaving Tottenham

Ryan Sessegnon is reportedly attracting interest from Premier League clubs after being released by Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the Premier League 2024 transfer window

The 24-year-old joined Spurs in 2019 from rivals Fulham in a deal worth around £25 million.

But the move didn’t work out as he struggled with injuries and consistency.

He managed to make just 57 appearances across all competitions, and was also loaned out to Hoffenheim for the 2020-21 campaign.

Last season, the midfielder made only one appearance lasting just seven minutes for Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Tottenham decided not to renew his contract and the English footballer has now become a free agent.

According to The Sun, Crystal Palace are eyeing a move for Sessegnon to replace Michael Olise.

Olise is set to join Bayern Munich after they agreed a deal worth around £50.7m with the London outfit.

Apart from Sessegnon, Tottenham have also released Eric Dier, Ivan Perisic, Tanguy Ndombele, and Japhet Tanganga.

The Lilywhites made an impressive start under Postecoglou last season but ultimately missed out on a Champions League berth after a late collapse.

They finished two points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa in the Premier League standings.

The North Londoners will push for a European spot in 2024-25 by bolstering their ranks this summer.
