Keane has been part of ITV’s Euro 2024 coverage out in Germany alongside his Stick to Football colleagues Neville, Ian Wright and Jill Scott.

The quartet sat down for a special edition of their show when they began discussing what they have been able to do in their spare time while on the continent.

Neville suggested it had been hard to do much away from presenting the games and had been keeping full focus on giving the best analysis he can.

But Keane was quick to offer up some advice to his former teammate, trying to ensure that he spent more time enjoying life and less time working.

He said: “You spend your time sending 200 emails. Do you know what I mean?

“There’s no point in being successful if you can’t find time for people.”

He added: “There’s no point having millions in the bank. This is not success in life.

“People say ‘I’ve made a fortune’, but if you can’t find the time for your friends and your family, forget about it!”

Roy Keane's angriest moments

What really ticks off Roy Keane?

The Irishman is known for his no-nonsense approach to football.

And some particular things really do get on Keane’s wick.

It all makes for great entertainment for fans, who love the Man United legend’s take on the beautiful game.

But is Keane being a bit too sensitive himself?

From smiling players to ABBA, nothing is sacred.

And we all know about his dislike for a prawn sarnie…

Fans loved the valuable rant from Keane and gushed online about his advice.

One wrote: “Incredibly solid life advice from Roy Keane.”

While another added: “He is one of the most genuine people on TV… what you see is what you get – regardless of whether you agree or not.”

And a third joked: “Roy Keane becoming this mellow fountain of wisdom was not what I foresaw 10 years ago lol.”

Keane hasn’t completely changed his ways though as he still had time for a cheeky jibe at Jill Scott at the top of the episode.

The Irish icon had taken a swipe at Scott for wearing an England shirt for he show, before the Lioness clapped back with a comment of her own.

She said: “Did you miss your make-up appointment?”

Only for Keane to take it one step further and hit back by joking: “You’ve been in there for two hours… and I’ll tell you, it’s made no difference.”
