Nonus Collection is a minimalist furniture collection created by Brooklyn-based designer Ryan Kahen. The Nonus Collection, inspired by Pluto’s distinctive orbit and its relationship with its largest moon, Charon, translates these celestial phenomena into minimalist design. At the core of the collection is the Nonus Side Table. This piece takes cues from Pluto’s tilted elliptical orbit, incorporating a 17-degree sliced plane that intersects an elliptical top. Made from steel and finished with a blackened patina, the table’s design evokes the mysterious depths of space. The Nonus Wall Light reflects the gravitational interplay between Pluto and Charon. Featuring two intersecting circular shapes—one solid and one outlined—it achieves an asymmetric yet harmonious balance. A hand-bent neon light adds a soft glow, reminiscent of Pluto’s atmospheric halo.
