OKCPD investigating crash that left one person dead

One person is dead after being hit by a vehicle early Sunday morning near Northeast 10th Street in Oklahoma City.

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - One person is dead after being hit by a vehicle early Sunday morning near Northeast 10th Street in Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma City Police said that they got a call around 1 a.m. Sunday a person was hit by a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed near NE 10th and North Martin Luther King Avenue.

The person was rushed to the hospital and was later pronounced dead.

OKCPD did not know as of Sunday afternoon if the driver stayed on the scene or if it was a hit-and-run.

The crash remains under investigation and the identity is unknown.
