Two extricated after vehicle fire in OKC Sunday

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Two people had to be extricated from a vehicle after it crashed and caught fire Sunday morning near Lake Hefner Parkway.

Oklahoma City Police and Fire responded to a vehicle fire near Northwest 63rd and Lake Hefner Parkway around 1 a.m.

After they arrived on scene they found that a vehicle had crashed and then set a grass strip on fire.

Two people were still inside and couldn't get out but OKCFD was able to extricate them. The extent of their injuries and severity are unknown at this time.

The cause of the crash and the identity of those involved is still under investigation.
