PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Academy Award winner Brie Larson added Formula E race fan to her resume when she spent the weekend at the Portland International Raceway.

On Saturday Larson, 34, took a lap in a Nissan Leaf Mismo RC, then wrapped up the race by waving the checkered flag. Race officials said she was also at the track for the final events on Sunday.

Larson, who won the Academy Award for her role in "Room," wasn't the only star in Portland this weekend.

"Fast and Furious” star Sung Kang also spent two days at PIR.  Kang hung out with his friend and influencer Emelia Hartford, while pioneering INDYNXT driver Jamie Chadwick also spent the weekend in Portland.

The races themselves were very exciting.

AG Heuer's Porsche's António Félix da Costa swept both races of the 2024 Portland E-Prix, giving him 3 victories in a row (which tied his Formula E record set four seasons ago.)

It wasn't a great weekend for tour leader Nick Cassidy of Team Jaguar, who saw his lead dwindle to just 12 points. Da Costa now has vaulted into 4th place overall with 134 points for the season through 14 rounds.

The team standings are also tight, with Jaguar leading Tag Heuer 322 to 289. DS Penske is in third place with 184 points.

This was the second consecutive year the Formula E World Championship tour came to Portland -- its only US stop of this season.
