Robinson: New club resorts on Zanzibar and Boa Vista
Dream beaches, exotic flair and a unique club resort atmosphere: Robinson is building two new club resorts in absolute dream destinations. One is being built on Zanzibar, the other on the Cape Verdean island of Boa Vista – two trendy destinations with great potential for Robinson-style holidays. The provider of premium club resort holidays already operates long-haul club resorts in Thailand, the Maldives and, from the end of the year, Vietnam.
“With their high standards of quality, cuisine and sports facilities, premium club resort holidays are aimed at different target groups and meet a trend. We are seeing a steady increase in demand for our brands and our focus is clearly on growth. Exotic destinations are always exciting, both for our long-standing guests and for new fans of our brands. At the same time, we continue to focus on beach destinations in Europe and active holiday destinations in the Alps,” says Bernd Mäser, Managing Director of Robinson and TUI Magic Life.
Robinson in Zanzibar
The first Robinson on the island of Zanzibar, off the east coast of Africa, will be built on a picturesque plot of land on a palm-fringed beach. The modern resort, which is currently being planned to the highest standards, will open for the 2026/27 winter season and offer unforgettable holiday experiences in one of the world’s most fascinating regions. Guests will experience a combination of relaxation and adventure – with activities and excursions that can only be experienced in Tanzania. Robinson Zanzibar will be located on the east coast, on idyllic Muyuni Beach, and will have 320 rooms and villas. “With our new project on Zanzibar, we are making the most of our brand’s strengths: paradisiacal beaches and crystal-clear water offer ideal conditions for water sports such as diving, snorkelling, sailing and kitesurfing. The island is also characterised by a rich culture and exciting history. This unique blend of relaxation and adventure makes Zanzibar the perfect location for a Robinson club resort,” says Managing Director Bernd Mäser. “We are proud to bring the special Robinson atmosphere to Zanzibar and to offer our guests unforgettable moments in one of the most beautiful regions in the world. At the same time, we are aware of our responsibility. Our aim is to make a positive contribution to the sustainable development of the island.” In all new buildings, the operator pays attention to resource-conserving construction methods and sustainable running of the club resort. The centrepiece of the club resort’s grounds is the lush palm garden in which the facility is embedded. In addition to its own water treatment plant and solar and photovoltaic systems, training and development projects are also planned.”
Cape Verde’s recipe for success: Robinson sets course for the next island
Since 2019, Robinson Cabo Verde on the island of Sal has been a permanent component of the Robinson portfolio and has quickly become an absolute rising star in the programme. Optimal conditions for beach and active holidaymakers as well as a cosmopolitan culture make Cape Verde an ideal holiday destination. With the planning of the new club resort on Boa Vista, Robinson is continuing its success story on the Cape Verdes and strengthening its position as the leading brand for premium club resort holidays. “With our Robinson Cabo Verde as an adults-only club resort, we are addressing an adult target group. The new resort on the neighbouring island of Boa Vista also targets families with its FOR-ALL concept and is therefore an ideal addition,” holds Bernd Mäser. The club resort will be built on the west coast of the island of Boa Vista and will have 320 rooms and bungalows. Highlights will include a dedicated water sports centre and a sports park with tennis, padel and football courts. There will also be an aqua park with several pools and waterslides. Guests can look forward to the usual quality standards that have characterised the brand for decades: first-class gastronomy, a wide range of sports and wellness facilities and an extensive programme of activities.
