Jurors in Karen Read’s murder trial have said again that they are deadlocked, and the judge has ordered them to continue deliberating. The judge said Monday that she has “never seen anything like this.” Jurors had told the judge Friday they couldn’t agree on a verdict, only to be told to keep trying. They are being asked to decide whether prosecutors have proven that Read drunkenly and intentionally slammed into her Boston police officer boyfriend with her Lexus SUV and left him to die. The defense challenged the evidence and suggested that one or more law enforcement colleagues killed O’Keefe and framed Read to cover it up.
