‘Naughty man’ EastEnders fans gobsmacked after star’s raunchy role in Netflix series is discovered
EASTENDERS fans have been left gobsmacked after a character’s previous raunchy role was unearthed.
Colin Salmon is known for playing hard-man George Knight in Albert Square.
He arrived in Walford last June along with his daughters Gina (Francesca Henry) and Anna (Molly Rainford).
The character was also engaged to Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe), mother of Linda Carter (Kellie Bright).
He has since become a beloved face on the long-running BBC soap.
Colin was no stranger to both the small and big screens prior to landing his ‘Enders role, having starred in projects such as Doctor Who, Bad Girls, Merlin and the Resident Evil film series.
But it was his raunchy turn in ITV series Secret Diary Of A Call Girl that has fans hot under the collar.
The show, which is now also being screened on Netflix, follows the story of sex worker Hannah Baxter, who was also known by the name Belle de Jour.
Colin, 62, appeared in the eighth episode of the first series as an affluent American businessman who employs her for a week.
He appeared in steamy scenes alongside Billie Piper, who is the show’s leading lady.
EastEnders fans were surprised by the actor’s steamy scenes.
One viewer wrote on X: “I feel very differently about George since watching reruns of Secret Diary of a Call Girl. What he got upto with Billie Piper is very surprising!”
This was as a second fan exclaimed: “Naughty George.”
In recent soap scenes, viewers have seen George embark on an affair with his old flame Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins).
Fans have also watched on as he learned the truth behind his adoption as a child.
He was devastated after he learned his parents, Gloria and Eddie, acquired him through a process known as baby farming.
It was also revealed that Eddie was put in prison after he murdered George’s biological father and Gloria passed away.
