The Kardashians Really Cut Loose at Khloé’s 40th Birthday
Shots were taken and mechanical bulls were ridden.
Khloé Kardashian went all out for her 40th birthday, throwing a Dolly Parton–themed bash. A big sign behind the DJ booth proclaimed that the party was called “Khloéwood,” which is kind of a clunky reworking of “Dollywood,” but what are you going to do? Most of the Kardashian-Jenner crew pulled up in their best all-denim looks for an evening of drinking, mechanical-bull riding, and a Snoop Dogg performance. If you simply can’t wait for the next season of The Kardashians to see how the night went, Kylie made a highlight reel.
I think the best part of the video might be when Kim says “Are you okay?” after seeing Kylie pour “Wake the F*ck Up” caffeine gummies straight into her mouth from the customized bottle. The gummies are from Kourtney’s Lemme brand and were seemingly making their debut at Khloé’s birthday party. Elsewhere on the promo front, Kylie used her Sprinter brand of hard seltzer as a chaser for tequila shots. Was the tequila 818? Kendall wasn’t at the party, so if it was her brand, there was no one to make sure the bottle got filmed with its label facing out just so.
The guest list featured several of the usual members of the extended Kardashian universe. The Jens (Meyer and Atkin), Malika and Khadijah Haqq, Anastasia Karanikolaou, Olivia Pierson, Chris Appleton, and Lorraine Schwartz were all in attendance. A roster full of regulars seemed to allow everyone to let their guard down a bit, as evidenced by the multiple videos of Kim getting flipped on the dance floor by Britney Spears’s manager Cade Hudson. (She said on her Instagram Story the next day that she had “no recollection” of that happening.)
Khloé seems to have pulled off the most fun Kardashian party we’ve seen in a long time. It looks like everyone got wasted and had a good time, and if there were any blowout fights … we’ll be able to watch that on Hulu in three to five months.
