Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck's Beverly Hills Estate Isn't the Only Property They Are Unloading

While there has been quite a bit of fuss surrounding Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck putting their $61 million Beverly Hills estate on the market, there might be more to the story. It seems that the 90210 home isn’t the only thing they are selling, and it might hint that more serious discussions are happening behind the scenes — a liquidation of joint assets isn’t a good sign.

The estranged couple is reportedly selling some of their artwork, according to Page Six. A source shared with the outlet that art enthusiasts were scooping up “art and some pieces” from Affleck and Lopez’s collection. The artwork was “newly on sale” in early June amid the whispers surrounding their separation. The former dynamic duo hasn’t said a peep to the press about their future plans, but Affleck moved his belongings out of the home while Lopez was in Europe, per People.

They bought the home in late May 2023 after an exhaustive search, and they barely lived there for a year. However, it never truly felt like home to either of them. “Ben never liked the house,” a source told People when the home first went on the market. “It’s too far away from his kids.” Lopez thought that “the house is way too big for her” even though they shared a blended family of five children. The estate boasts “12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, a 12-car garage and a pool, plus a sports complex with basketball and pickleball facilities, a gym and a boxing ring,” per The Wall Street Journal, which seems entirely too difficult to keep up even with household staff.

With Affleck nestled comfortably in Brentwood near his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, and their three kids, Violet, 18, Finn, 15, and Samuel 12, and leaning on his Boston bestie, Matt Damon, for advice, it seems that he’s keeping his inner circle tight. An In Touch source revealed that “they both just want different things out of life” and there doesn’t appear to be any middle ground. “They both sat back and looked at how different they really are,” dishes the source. “While Jennifer loves being the center of attention, Ben would rather live his life away from the spotlight,” they added.

The artwork sale creates another layer of evidence that Lopez and Affleck are trying to sell off any joint assets to make a split easier. It could be a sad ending for Bennifer 2.0 because they were so hopeful that the second time around truly was their happy ending.
