Keith Lee Reacts to Taraji P. Henson's Embarrassing BET Awards Mix-Up in Since-Deleted Post

Taraji P. Henson doesn’t seem to know what TikTok star Keith Lee looks like and an embarrassing mix-up happened live during the 2024 BET Awards.

The Oscar-nominated actress hosted the awards show on Sunday night (June 30) and was handing out roses to stars in the audience to give people their flowers.

Keith, who has 16.4 million followers on TikTok, is best known for his restaurant reviews, which created the “Keith Lee Effect” around the country. Struggling businesses have had their futures turned around thanks to Keith reviewing their food, sometimes even if he isn’t a fan of the food.

When it was time for Taraji to point out Keith, she instead approached TikToker Jordan Howlett, who then pointed to Keith down the row. Watch video.

“I got caught up in my own inner monologue, I’m so sorry,” Taraji said. “You fine, too. So call me. Give him his flower.”

Keith has reacted to the mix-up in a since-deleted post.

In a video posted to TikTok, Keith dropped the flower to the ground.

“Our name will be known in every room it’s supposed to be, when it’s supposed to be, how it’s supposed, with no confusion. God is amazing,” he captioned the since-deleted video, according to ET.
