Jamie Foxx Shares Rare Comments About Medical Emergency, Reveals What Led to Hospitalization

Jamie Foxx is sharing some very rare comments about his health scare.

Back in April 2023, the 56-year-old Oscar-winning actor was hospitalized after he suffered a medical emergency that halted production on his upcoming Netflix film Back in Action. As of now, Jamie has not explained what happened to him, however, he took the opportunity to debunk some rumors in July 2023.

In a new video shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, Jamie can be seen talking about the health scare during an outing in Phoenix, Arizona.

He then snapped his fingers and said, “I was gone for 20 days. I don’t remember anything.”

“So they told me — I’m in Atlanta — so they told me my sister and my daughter took me to the first doctor,” Jamie said of his sister, Deidra Dixon, and his daughter, Corinne Foxx.

“They gave me a cortisone shot,” he added. Cortisone injections “help relieve pain, swelling and irritation in a specific area of your body,” according to the Mayo Clinic.

“The next doctor said something’s going on up there,” Jamie continued as he pointed to his head.

“I won’t say it on camera,” Jamie said as the crowd laughed.

“But it was…” Jamie trailed off and shrugged as the video ended.

Earlier this year, Jamie explained why he hasn’t shared more details about his medical emergency yet.
