Flavor Flav Is Sponsoring USA's Water Polo Teams for the Next Five Years, Announces Awesome Gifts for Players!

Flavor Flav is such a big fan of the Olympics and he decided to step up when he learned about the struggles that athletes go through to get to the games.

U.S. women’s water polo captain Maggie Steffens recently revealed that “most Olympians need a 2nd (or 3rd) job to support chasing the dream (myself included!) and most teams rely on sponsors for travel, accommodations, nutritional support, rent/lodging, and simply affording to live in this day and age.”

Flav has now signed a five-year sponsorship deal as the official hype man for the USA Water Polo Women’s and Men’s National Teams.

“I realize how unexpected this partnership is,” said Michaela Spector, Director of Marketing, USA Water Polo. “Flavor Flav‘s star power and passion for supporting athletes will bring a new level of excitement and visibility to water polo. We are thrilled to welcome him to the USA Water Polo family.”

Flav has also announced some exciting gifts he’s planning for the players!

During an appearance on CBS Mornings on Monday (July 1), Flav revealed that each player would receive an all-expense paid trip on a Virgin Voyage cruise anywhere in the world and a $1,000 donation.

“Supporting USA Water Polo teams is an honor,” said Flavor Flav in a statement. “As a girl dad and a champion of all sports, I’m excited to bring my energy and voice to this incredible sport. Niche sports often don’t get the spotlight they deserve, but they are packed with incredible talent and heart. Together, we’re going to make some serious waves!”
