Five-star Goodland, Kansas tight end commits to K-State

GOODLAND, KS. (KSNT) - One of the best tight ends in America for the high school class of 2025 will be a Kansas State Wildcat.

Linkon Cure, a five-star tight end from Goodland, Kansas, announced his commitment to K-State at Goodland's Max Jones Fieldhouse on Monday.

Cure is the No. 2 tight end in the nation for his high school class, according to three different prominent recruiting sites. He's the highest-rated high school prospect, and first five-star, K-State football has landed in program history. Cure is the No. 1 player in Kansas for his class according to Rivals and No. 2 in the sunflower state according to On3 and 247 Sports.

The highly-touted pass-catcher is listed at 6-foot-6 and 220 pounds and chose K-State over three other finalists: KU, Texas A&M and Oregon.

It marks the second time in three years that the state's top prospect will join the Wildcats, after quarterback Avery Johnson wound up at Kansas State from Maize High School.
