'Popular and well respected' West Midlands transport safety officer wins major award after protecting 6,000 people

He's one of the West Midland's most prolific patrol men, with over 1,000 hours clocked in on his patch.

Transport safety officer, Paul Wheatley, from Walsall, has scooped a major award after becoming the scourge of troublemakers who cause havoc for thousands of commuters on West Midlands trains, buses and trams.
