Brooks' summer sale is live with great deals on some of its best running shoes, including the Ghost, the Glycerin, the Hyperion, and others. One of the biggest surprises of the sale is the inclusion of the Ghost Max—a brand-new Fall 2023 release with tons of cushion that's now 20% off and stealing back former customers from brands like Hoka.

Brooks' Ghost Max running shoes are now marked down to $120 during the brand's summer sale—a 20% discount on the normal $150 price. Less than a year old, this style has already earned nearly 400 five-star ratings from runners who say they're "even more comfortable" than the original Ghost. It's available in eight colors and comes in sizes 7 to 15, but some are selling out.

These shoes offer the same comfort their predecessor has become so well known for with the added benefit of maximum underfoot protection and a lighter-weight build. It features a high-stack foam midsole that offers even better shock-absorption than the original Ghost with a broader base that provides even more stable stepping. It also has a rocker bottom to assist forward movement, whether toeing off mid-jog or simply walking. This shoe is also certified by the American Podiatric Medical Association as a shoe that's recognized to be good for foot health.

Those who have made the switch from the original Ghost to the Ghost Max welcome the thick midsole because it offers the cushion they've been looking for. "I’ve been a big fan of the Ghost for many years but when I tried the Max it was like walking on air—so comfortable and great for my back problems," one shopper said. Another agreed, equating it to the "Ghost 15 on steroids."

Many also compared the Ghost Max to various Hoka models, but chose this pair because of its price point and better-fitting toe box. "I have always considered Hoka Bondis as the gold standard," a shopper stated. "These are every bit as good if not better, plus, they look better." Another shopper agreed, saying, "Brooks has out Hoka’d Hoka!"

If you're a Brooks fan who's been looking for extra cushion in your running or walking shoes, the Ghost Max is the shoe for you. Make sure to grab your size soon before these comfortable kicks inevitably sell out.
