Walkers shares ‘sad’ news with customers & confirms crisps Brits ‘absolutely LOVE’ are discontinued

WALKERS has left customers devastated after confirming that crisps Brits “absolutely love” have been discontinued.

The crisp giant said online that Walkers Stax were not available in the UK.

One user posting on X, formerly Twitter, wrote: “Hi, I’m from abroad and absolutely love Lays Stax.

“Are they available here? Cause I haven’t found any.”

But Walkers replied with a sad face and the message: “Hi Jonathan, we used to make Walkers Stax here in the UK, but sadly they’re no more!”

Jonathan did ask if there were any plans to bring the popular flavour back.

However, Walkers said there were “no current plans” to reverse the decision.

It comes as the crisp giant confirmed online that their Sensations Streetmix range had been axed.

The Streetmix brand included flavours based on cities, such as Bangkok, Mumbai and Mexico City.

The Sensations website describes the range as being a “multi-texture, multi-flavour adventure into exciting tastes from around the world”.

But it’s not all bad news after Walkers launched three new crisp flavours alongside a big recipe change.

Two new Wotsits flavours and a new Monster Munch offering have been launched, all made with chickpeas.

The chickpea-based snacks are all less than 100 calories a bag and contain 25 per cent less salt than their counterparts made out of corn, rather than potatoes like most crisps.

Earlier this year The Sun reported how Walkers had axed the fan favourite Spicy Mixups.

The selection of Wotsits, Doritos, French Fries and Monster Munch in one was removed from shop shelves for the foreseeable future.

And in October Walkers axed its hugely popular Worcester sauce flavour, leaving fans moaning that their “sandwiches were ruined”.

Fans also said goodbye to Max Fiercely Flamin Hot crisps in November as well as the Beef and Onion flavour.

In December, Walkers discontinued its Sensations Regal Lamb and Mint crisps.

Companies can often take items of shelves for good if they are not selling, or to make way for new flavours.

When the manufacturing of a flavour ends, you can often find them on shelves for a little longer after as shops work through selling the remaining stock.

While the ASDA website currently lists Sensations Streetmix as being “unavailable”, the ‘McGrocer’ site is offering 115g bags for £2.93.

Amazon also lists the item as “currently unavailable”.
