MORNING Live will be taken off air as BBC shows are hit by a major schedule shake up.
The BBC has been forced to make huge changes in programming in recent days due to various big events.
The Wimbledon Championships have meant that multiple shows have faced the axe, temporarily.
Regular instalments of Animal Park, Escape To The Country, and Rip Off Britain have all had to make way for extra sport shows on BBC One.
However, it seems that the publicly funded corporation has now had to chop one of its flagship shows.
Due to extended coverage of the UK General Election on Friday (July 5), BBC Morning Live has been taken off air.
Thursday night will see coverage kick off at 9:55pm and the results are scheduled to come in throughout the morning.
As votes are counted across the country, BBC One will air a special programme to mark the momentous event.
Usually Morning Live goes on air from 9:30am, but on Friday the likes of Clive Myrie and Laura Kuenssberg will appear all the way until BBC News at One.
This means the likes of Gethin Jones, Helen Skelton and Michelle Ackerley have seemingly been sidelined as their show will not air.
This comes as BBC Breakfast has also been dropped due to the extensive changes.
However, it was previously announced that both Jon Kay and Naga Munchetty will still be reporting from different ‘key’ locations.
Rachel Burden will also be live on both Radio 4 and Radio 5 Live alongside veteran broadcaster Nick Robinson.
They will be joined by other huge names, including Kirsty Wark, Fiona Bruce, Victoria Derbyshire, and Reeta Chakrabarti.
In another huge change this year, Jeremy Vine will not appear from the London headquarters.
Instead, the Channel 5 star and the infamous Swingometer will be broadcast from specialist studios in Cardiff.
