First edition of Mary Shelley’s ‘Frankenstein’ sells for $843K after monster bidding war

An auction of collector William Strutz's library fetched whopping prices for some of the rarest books -- topped by a monstrous sale price of more than $840,000 for a first-edition "Frankenstein."
