I got sick of paying for Botox so I tried a $5 buy – it banished wrinkles & made an ‘amazing’ difference after 2 months

A SKINCARE fan has revealed how they use a common medical supply to combat their fine lines and wrinkles.

They used to spend big bucks on Botox for a baby-soft forehead but found that a $5 DIY anti-aging solution works even better.

Reddit user Dr_Clamstradamus is no stranger to skincare woes and has tried different measures to reduce signs of aging.

They admitted in a post that they “got sick” of paying tons of money for Botox.

They decided to try a trick to target their fine lines and were shocked by the results.

“I figured I’d give it a shot and I’ll never go back!” they said.

The secret to their success is medical-grade tape.

They specifically use 3M Transpore Clear 1-Inch Wide First Aid Tape, $4.96 on Amazon.

“I use a piece to cut and use between my eyes and it’s better than Botox. It prevents wrinkles as I sleep,” a shopper commented.

The Reddit user said they started applying it to their forehead at night before bedtime and kept it on overnight.

“It’s important to cover most of your forehead with the tape,” they explained.

They added that it is effective because it “immobilizes all the muscles that work together.”

There is an easy-to-follow three-step process they do for maximum effectiveness.

First, they said they apply “lots of good moisturizer,” and then wait 20 minutes for it to settle into their skin.

Soon after, they “tape away.”

“I make a V shape between my eyebrows and then two long horizontal strips,” they explained.

They said the “difference is amazing” for their skin type.

Anti-aging tips

  • Keep your skin hydrated internally by drinking water and externally with moisturizer.
  • Always use sunscreen, even if you’re not in direct sunlight.
  • Use Vitamin C to brighten the skin and don’t forget to apply to your neck.

But it isn’t a one-night fix, and they said that they were consistently doing it for two months before seeing results.

It “takes time and consistency” to work.

Before trying the tape hack, they were using the brand Frownies, a non-invasive facial patch that softens wrinkles.

But, in their opinion, the tape works better and is a much cheaper buy than the wrinkle patch, which costs $25.

Another change they made to their nighttime routine is wearing an eye mask to bed.

“I think it helps too,” they said.

The original poster replied that they had some leftover Nexcare surgical tape in their house and planned to try it that evening.

The results should speak for themselves.
