Duo accused of pressing hot knife against victim's face in Hudson Falls

A Glens Falls man and Warrensburg woman were arrested after allegedly holding a victim up against a wall, heating up a knife with a blow torch, and pressing it against their face. Richard Smith, 39, and Alyssa Johnson, 38, both face charges.

HUDSON FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Glens Falls man and Warrensburg woman were arrested and are accused of holding a victim up against a wall, heating up a knife with a blow torch, and pressing it against their face. Richard Smith, 39, and Alyssa Johnson, 38, both face charges.

Hudson Falls Police say the incident occurred on May 3, with them being arrested on May 10, and May 23, respectively. It happened on Willow Street in Hudson Falls.

Charges:

  • First-degree assault/ intent to cause serious injury with a weapon
  • First-degree unlawful imprisonment

Both were arrested and held for arraignment.
