NYS Thruway Authority warns of E-ZPass scam

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The New York State Thruway Authority reminds New Yorkers to beware of scammers regarding E-ZPass. E-ZPass and Tolls By Mail will never contact anyone asking for personal information like credit card numbers, social security, usernames, or passwords.

The NYS Thruway Authority reminds everyone to make sure they do not provide this personal information that is requested if they are contacted for it. For assistance, users can call E-ZPass at (800) 333-8655 or Tolls By Mail at (844) 826-8400. Reports can also be filed with the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center.
