No more 'Crazy Rudy Law': Jokes pour in as Giuliani disbarred in New York

Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani was raked through the coals Tuesday as word spread he'd been disbarred for his participation in Donald Trump's attempt to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

Jokes came pouring in as news broke that a New York appellate court ruled Giuliani — forced to declare bankruptcy over a $148 million defamation ruling — had made "demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts" in an attempt to return his client to the nation's highest office.

"Giuliani's just been disbarred in NY, and he's liquidating his assets to pay his legal bills," wrote humorist Paul Rudnick, adding a picture of liquid dye dripping down the former mayor's temple. "And ladies - he's single!"

The X account LizaMinnelliOutlives — an account dubbed the "most unlikely source for breaking news" which promises the iconic actress will "outlive us all" — celebrated another win in her quest for immortality.

"Liza Minnelli has outlived Rudy Giuliani’s law license," the Minnelli tribute account declared. "The former NYC mayor has been disbarred."

Actor Andy Ostroy, a self-declared "proud Democrat," shared the news with his followers with a warning for Trump's MAGA following.

"Everything #Trump touches dies…," Ostroy wrote. "#Giuliani."

The Good Liars — the comedic duo who've made a name for themselves trolling political figures such as former Mayor Bill de Blasio and Trump — took to social media with a satirical message of woe:

"We are sad to report that Rudy Giuliani’s law firm 'Crazy Rudy Law' can no longer operate in New York State," they wrote.

The post includes video of the pair describing their phony 2019 New York City subway ads promising Giuliani will work for free, has no shame and "will work when drunk."
